How to Use Facebook Groups to Get New Clients for your VA Business
As a Virtual Assistant, one of my favorite ways to connect with potential new clients is inside of Facebook groups.
And if you’ve been in the VA world for any length of time, you probably have already heard that Facebook groups are an excellent way to find potential clients.
But maybe you’re wondering if you’ll really able to find VA clients in Facebook groups...
Or maybe you’re worried that most FB groups are overcrowded with VAs…
Or that you’re going to have to spend hours every day on FB searching groups for #jobopp posts.
Well, I’m here to tell you that you can totally find VA clients in Facebook group… without spending lots of time or driving yourself crazy!
Today I want to share some tips with you on how to make the most of Facebook groups to find potential clients for your virtual assistance business.
I’m excited to share these with you because just this week I’ve connected with two potential clients via Fb groups… What I’m going to share with you can totally work for your business, too!
So let’s dive into 3 must-do things to make the most of finding potential new clients in facebook groups!
1. Choose 3-4 facebook groups to participate in daily. There are literally thousands of Facebook groups out there geared towards entrepreneurs. However, you don’t need to participate in each and everyone of them in order to find potential clients. Choose 3-4 groups where your target clients are hanging out and make it a point to participate in those groups each day.
For example, if you’re wanting to work with realtors, find FB groups where they are hanging out. If you offer Pinterest services and want to work with moms, join mom entrepreneur groups. The more niched down you can get with the groups you join (if your VA business is niched), the easier it’ll be for you to be of service and showcase your expertise.
2. Consider turning on notifications for the 3-4 groups you want to actively participate in. Yes, this means your FB notifications will be blowing up, BUT the reason you should consider doing this is because then you’ll be the first to see those job opp posts when they are made. This will allow you to be among the first people to comment on the job opp posts and your comments won’t get buried underneath everyone else’s responses. Early bird gets the worm, right? :)
3. Help others - don’t just be there for your own gain. When you join FB groups, you want to be of service… Don’t just comment on posts where people are looking for VA recommendations. Also comment on posts where you can answer the person’s questions. This will help your name to start to become more recognizable to people inside the FB community. And then when you do comment on the job opp posts, you’ll already have established some credibility with the group members and won’t just be some no-name VA in a sea of other VAs.
While these tips might seem simple, the truth is they work. You don't need a super fancy strategy for finding new clients... these 3 simple things above can be very impactful when you implement them into your business weekly.
Comment below if you plan to implement any of these into your VA business!
