She Means Business: Book Recommendation + Giveaway

If you know me, you know that I love reading… and I especially love reading books that inspire me and encourage me in my Virtual Assistance business.

In 2018, I read a book by Carrie Green, founder of the Female Entrepreneur Association, that I would highly encourage all of my Virtual Assistant friends {or any woman wanting to start or grow a business!} to read:

She Means Business: Turn Your Ideas Into Reality and Become a Wildly Successful Entrepreneur

In this book, Carrie shares about her personal entrepreneurial journey, starting with her first online business at the age of 20 and then sharing all of the challenges that come along with being an ambitious woman trying to run a successful online business over the years.

For me, this was a book I would pick up and read a few chapters at a time whenever I needed some encouragement and inspiration in my business. I love how encouraging, inspiring and REAL Carrie is about running an online business and you can feel that coming through in each chapter of her book.

One of the parts of the book that really touched my heart was the part of the book titled “She Shows up For Her Dreams”.

In this section, Carrie provides a checklist {see pic below!} to encourage women entrepreneurs to condition ourselves for success and to show up for our dreams. Amazing, right? :)

In addition to the inspiration and encouragement throughout the book, Carrie also ends each chapter inside “She Means Business” with a “She Takes Action” section where she gives you a question to think about or an action to take to further your business goals.

In fact, one of my favorite chapters in the book starts on page 90, and is all about getting clear on your mission for your business, why you’re doing your business and what you stand for. This section really helped me hone in on my specific audience for this blog you’re reading now!

If you are looking for a business book that will give you encouragement and actionable business steps, I cannot recommend She Means Business enough!
